Another hearsay: I was at a party sat. and a woman told me her company lost funding and is shutting down. I didn’t get the name of the company but it’s a cancer research center in Torrey Pines near Burnham and LIAI etc.

My husband is in a hard hit field – Commercial Architecture. Even with experience dealing with hard to deal with agencies (OSPD, FAA, etc.) he’s finding zip. In previous times he could go to the San Diego’s AIAA website. Last month there was an ad for a drafting position and two ads for people looking to sublet or share their studio space. Today there are NO ads, zero.
Monster has nothing. Craigslist has a few headhunters and a bunch of folks, like my husband, who are LOOKING for jobs.
