There was an awesome and somewhat affordable prepper real estate listing in north county inland from oceanside with generators, water and gasoline storage tanks, solar panels, a bunker, etc.

Apparently you can:
Second question is of a general nature, do the shredders that shred cd/dvd also have the ability to shred credit cards?
I think in general that is true.
Lastly, why is there an expiration date on a credit card?
Probably so the owner knows when his card will stop working. Can you imagine the number of bad situations and angry phone calls that would happen if you went to purchase something important and your card was denied because it was expired?
And don’t bogart the liquor my friend. Especially at 4:13 in the afternoon.

Riverfront Retreat: 2 Homes, Water, <2 hours from LAThis is a rare and wonderful waterfront property. Realtors have told us it “doesn’t exist.” A realtor we spoke with said he had been selling mountain properties for over 35 years and hadn’t seen anything like this. 5 acres, orchard, year-round river, less than 2 hours from Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
This is a 5.5 acre (5.13 per tax assessor, but bigger than that) privately-owned property within the San Bernardino National Forest. Major year-round, 10,000+ gal./ minute stream. Native rainbow and brown trout. River water irrigates grounds and apple/pear/plum orchard. Additional photos: http://www.theoaksmountainretreat.wordpress.com

What You Should Know Before Buying A Prepper Retreat Property…

The apocalypse has become big business. And it’s getting bigger every day.
In the ’50s, homeowners fearing Communist attacks built bunkers in their backyards and basements, hung up a few “God Bless Our Bomb Shelter” signs and called it a Cold War.
But today, Americans en masse are again preparing for the worst—and Communists are just about the only thing not on their list. What is? Terrorist attacks, a total economic collapse, perhaps even zombie invasions

May 14, 2017 at 9:37 PM #806515FlyerInHiGuestDesert end of times shelter sounds like a bad idea. The marauding deplorables from AZ with guns will eventually kill you for your provisions.
Better have a plot of land and a normal house on a fertile, rainy Hawaiian island. Plan your exit early before the nuclear holocaust and live happily ever after on your island paradise. Solar for electricity. Rain for water. Chicken, pigs and sustainable farming. Banana and coconut trees…. why do you think billionaires. such as Larry Ellison, own island retreats.
San Diego and Cali in general are too close to critical infrastructure. Plus you’ll eventually run out of canned food.
On a sustainable Pacific island, the people can live happily together without worrying about invaders.
