IT Engineer = Does not exist
IT Technician is more accurate IMO.
I remember way back to my undergrad days there were (2) paths one could take:
BS Engineering Technology
or the classical engineering route.
IT is more like Engineering Technology

I actually have an active lead at a good San Diego company where I was referred by a friend so with luck I will be back at work soon.
