We aren’t going to need to time the bottom to get a killer deal, and I don’t think that prices are going to magically shoot up. My remarks were to those who believe that there will always be such a demand for those developments therefore they can demand a significantly higher price. This mess has just started and there is not a place in this world that will be immune to the downturn.

Even CD’s are okay, but they should be shorter term obivously. You will lose to inflation, but you’ll be way over the stock market on a week like this, and you can get it when you need it.
Of course this will probably be the worst week since 9/11, if it’s not already.

Waiting until it stabilizes is at least an indicator of a bottom. But, RE can also stay at the bottom for quite some time until the factors needed to cause it to rise improve.
The crap storm is really getting momentum now. It sounds like you understand this. Having cash will serve you well in the future.
