Excuse me, what is YOUR occupation IONEGARM? I didn’t get that. Are you in RE perhaps? Hmmmm? Maybe, you have something to lose, in a declining market?
I would say, educating 200 inner city teenagers a day, IS community service. Tell us what you do each day, thats adding to your community. And, instead of attacking me, BRING YOUR DATA, and keep the forum ON THE SUBJECT.Also, I guess TRENDS, of several high end areas declining in 3 different counties, during the same month, does’nt mean anything to you.
Keeping drinking the Kool-Aid, boss…

By the way, try using commas in your writing next time…
June 7, 2007 at 6:29 AM #57399PDParticipantLS08, you are over the top and quite combative. If you toned it done a bit and quit throwing insults around, you would get more respect. Further, calling people on spelling, punctuation or grammar is a bad idea, particularly if you are sometimes an offender.

June 7, 2007 at 7:02 AM #57406latesummer2008ParticipantI can see many of you on this board are threatened by the probable price declines, that ARE coming. I don’t need to waste my time defending what I say, to mostly nervous, overly religious, republican fundamentalist, real estate hacks. Having to constantly defend what I say here is old and tired. You honestly deserve each other on this board. It’s too bad, because there are a few people here that can see the big picture and what is happening. Most of you responding with attacks, and no data to back it up are just POPPING OFF. I feel sorry for you. That’s easy in a social forum like this, hiding behind a computer, because in real life, you would be shredded, face to face.
Let the numbers speak for themselves over the next few months and years. In retrospect, than you can JUDGE for yourself.
One last remark. We will see what happens in Late Summer of 2008, My guess is, smart buyers will be getting good deals on real estate.
I’M OUT……..

June 7, 2007 at 7:45 AM #5741134f3f3fParticipantI discovered something really interesting as I was on Zip Realty last night. I live in Diamond Bar, and have been really amazed (and disturbed) at how the prices have been so resistant to declining. But I was only looking at listing prices. True, they haven’t budged much. But just for fun, I thought I’d look at sales prices. They were all about 10-15% lower than the asking prices! So something is really happening after all.
Ziprealty also lets you select only those houses that have had their price reduced. Some properties show up to four reductions in a short space of time, and show a not insignificant drop (though nowhere near enough to tempt me). Others merely pay lip service to it, and expect it to generate interest. The tale is still wagging the dog.

June 7, 2007 at 12:52 PM #57510CardiffBaseballParticipantCry me a river. Before you waltzed in here this board spent considerable debunking the usefulness of Median prices as a measuring stick. That has to work both ways.
You should go hang out at Daily Kos and spam over there. Oh and there aren’t many bulls around here. You are no different than a self-righteous freeper who thinks they define conservatism and everyone who disagrees is a liberal. This board is full of liberals, just because they happen to want to see better data than median prices before making wild declarations does not make them fundamentalist whacks like me.

June 7, 2007 at 1:31 PM #57566SD RealtorParticipantLS I am not sure why you so upset…
1 – Constantly repeating things is part of the life of being a poster. People come and go, the same questions are asked, etc…
2 – I don’t really agree with the statement “many of you on this board are threatened by the probable price declines…” I am still trying to figure out which people on this board don’t actually agree that the declines are indeed coming. In fact I think the majority of people believe there will be a decline and that it will be severe. I think it will severe, I think it will happen.
3 – Being challenged is the price of entry right? People jump all over me when I give my infamous soap opera statements about it being okay to buy for different reasons if you factor out the economics. I repeat myself a million times… it is just what it is ya know? You are right, you don’t need to waste your time defending what you say, I agree….if you want to walk out in a huff then so be it.
4 – Just roll with it, post it, defend it, whatever… don’t sweat it…
This blog would suck if we all agreed on everything.
