JNK pays a monthly dividend. This month’s dividend was 28 cents a share. Some months it pays a penny or two more and some months are a penny or so less. You can reinvest the dividends or get a check. I reinvest and buy more shares.
I’ve been a JNK holder for almost 2 years. Here’s a Morningstar writeup:

We’ve had so many head-fakes with interest rates rising over the years, but I’m hoping the recent rate increases are the real deal.
