    Can you guys recommend a good Infertility specialist in San Diego? My wife has some problems and we are considering IVF but we don’t like the two doctors we have talked to so far. Thnx.

    Not trying to be a complete douche bag, but this is definitely not the site to ask for medical advice / referrals. Pigs are a cheap bunch and will end up referring you to some 1/2 rate doc or some tijuana clinic…

    About eight years ago my, wife and I did IVF with a doctor in LA, where we lived at the time. We are now blessed with healthy twins as the outcome. The doctor wasn’t half-rate, and he wasn’t cheap either! If you do the procedure, you will likely spend enough to qualify for the income tax deduction for medical expenses (which doesn’t amount to much…)

    You probably don’t want to go to LA to do the procedure, although it may be worth it for the right doctor. PM me if you want to know specifics.

    The IVF process is very difficult – especially for the mother, of course. But, needless to say, it’s more than worth it, if successful.

    I hope for the best for you and your family.
