Indy Car Racing

I had to share this with fellow piggs. This weekend I was out in Las Vegas to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We weren’t really interested in gambling, but more to gamble with our life and to test our luck with Indy cars.

We contacted a racing school and had a chance to race our own Indy cars at around 150mph. It was one of the most thrilling things I have ever done. I have to admit I was a little freaked out that they would allow me to drive an Indy style race car around a track at 150mph after a 20 minute safety class.

I was so addicted after my first six laps around the track, I actually ended up paying for another round. Long story short you can do the same for a few hundred bucks, which is worth every penny. I have to admit it was experience I will never forget and for a small moment in time I forgot all about the economy!!!

I honestly never knew this was out there until this weekend. I went to Andretti/Gordon Racing School at Las Vegas Speedway http://www.andrettigordon.com which has some different options as well. Thanks for the Skip Barber link. I think I am just going to start spending all my money on racing schools. That will do a great job of creating a false reality for me!!!

Skip barber lap sessions definitely make great birthday gifts and Christmas presents from spouses….
