Thanks for all of your excellent input.
By what all of you say the safest would be to make sure I bring a big mattress under which I can hide the money!!
Our currency is all over the place but in my opinion it will only weaken against the dollar so it needs to be converted asap for a start.
We will be moving to the USA for good so it’s long term investments we are after both income and growth.
Based on what you say it looks like we wont be rushing to buy any property and when we do it will be for our primary residence to start with after having rented for 6 months or so starting in about August this year.
