One might conclude that the sensationalism of these events has increased, but the inderlying events have not. So, I’d say yes, this could be a conicidece.

She was a young Indian woman who evidently held herself to high standards in managing people’s money. Well, she lost over $200K of mine, but I was shocked to learn of her demise.
