I didn’t even think you could get a 4.25% on a FHA loan, which presumably is also above 417K. And 33% off the peak? and a good house that your hubbie likes and you will grow to like it too? It’s AWESOME! You won’t regret it! There is a tradeoff between prices and rates – but I don’t think it will be worth waiting for, especially when you consider the rent down the drain. I envy you being able to garden now. I am very excited and happy for you guys. You worked hard and long and you got a awesome deal.

February 13, 2011 at 9:11 AM #665680CAwiremanParticipantJP, congrats.
I’m heading over to our new place to begin wort removal.
No gender-based offense meant, but its funny that your husband was pushing for the home, and not yourself, the wife. My experience was quite the opposite. π
In the other thread I started announcing our purchase, I wanted to keep it positive. But, at some point, I’ll share the issues we experienced during escrow.
Enjoy your new place JP!

February 13, 2011 at 9:28 AM #665700scaredyclassicParticipantMy peace of mind is not worth 20,000 a year.
But I doubt you’ll get that hammered.
Would a book of escrow horror stories be funny?
