Participanthaha…If you could move the “mountains of light” and place them over the wasteland that is LA. I would be willing to pay double for home prices! Now I know I am dreaming!

ParticipantI am resurrecting this thread b/c someone on SDL keeps bringing up my purchase as if he’s outing me or there is some meaning to me buying. It’s not a secret. Go ahead and read all about it.
But since I read through this thread again, I will add this post. I will not chalk it up as being all knowing. Maybe it’s just a gut feeling. But the condo that we originally made an offer on in the complex we were renting in has in just a year’s time seen some price drops that would’ve been a good disappointment if we had purchased at the time we made the offer. There was a corner unit w/a better view up the hill that sold for 25k less and recently another unit near the one we were thinking of buying that is 35k less. So glad we didn’t buy that one. Amazing what a difference just a little over a year makes.

Participantjp, you made a wise choice over a condo. SFR’s typically hold their value much better, even those that need work :=]
