What is NH?
I told my apartment complex straight up, raise it and I leave. LOL! They obliged right away! No increase for me this year. Do not take this BS, you are in the driver’s seat right now, tell him to take their apartment and you know what… there is so much inventory out there!
If they have even an ounce of intelligence they will not raise your rent because just the carrying costs between you leaving and them finding someone else will cause them a huge net loss.

October 2, 2008 at 10:30 PM #279845JCParticipantSorry. NH is normal heights. I just don’t like to admit that this is the place that I chose to hunker down to maximize my savings during our fun little historic housing bubble. You kids understand, but the kids at work and in the social set think I am nuts. Of course, I feel a little foolish about my strategy due to recent events.
I definitely told the landlord that I move the day they raise my rent. Fortunately, I can easily deliver on that.

October 2, 2008 at 10:53 PM #279865peterbParticipantCount listings available. That’s the inventory. I went to my property management place today to drop off my rent and they post their listings. The number has gone up every month for the last 3 months. They could be adding new clients, but I know how they opperate, so I doubt it. I just counted and they had 30 listings two months ago and today they’re at 57.
