Are wages expected to increase? Are banks going to lend to the strawberry picker again? Will unemployment decrease?
If the answers are no, then someone explain to me who is going to buy? (please don’t tell me the rich foreigners)

Circumstances were a little different, to put it mildly.
Give it some time. I don’t think this will do much. Like was said, unless the lax lending return and the strawberry pickers and lemonade stand owners can buy McMansions, the descent will continue and/or stagnation.
… and the gubmint (aka Fannie & Freddie) will do everything it can to help those fine, deserving citrus beverage entrepreneurs keep their McMansions.
Rinse, repeat.

Not like it’s going to go up 20 to 50% any time soon.
