That property tax bill has a $7,000 homeowners exemption.
If this is indeed a rental, and GC does not live on the property, then GC is committing fraud and the County needs to prosecute him.

1) Maybe the county’s office is backlogged in processing mailed in prop taxes
2) Although some people might find it unbelievable, people do forget to pay their property taxes on time. I forgot pay on time one year myself.
3)I don’t see a “delinquent” filing on the tax assessor page for this listing showing past due taxes from prior year…. If he was delinquent theprior year, it would show at the bottom of the page a “defaulted” entry, even it was paid or not.
If I were a betting person, I’d say he simply forgot to pay or the assessor’s office hasn’t processed the mailed in payment yet and/or it got lost in the mail….
I’ll bookmark this thread to see how it ends up.
