May 12, 2009 at 8:44 PM #398146sdrealtorParticipantThat might be happening in Julian but not around here. Here’s one from the streets. Cute little house in San Marcos hits market this weekend for $340K. A model match with a pool just closed for $330K. My client matched the $330K price and was putting 25% down. There were over 10 offers in 2 days and my clients offer wasnt even close to getting selected as there were many equally qualified, some cash offers and several above the asking price. Of course this will turn into an appraisal fiasco which i warned the agent against but they had over 10 very well qualified buyers in less than 2 days. They only showed the house for 2 days and could probably have attracted 100 acceptable offers if they kept showing the house and accepting offers while they were in the approval process.
Not to burst anyone’s bubble but this is a county of about 4,000,000 people.

I haven’t heard much lately and I thought I would ask.
