why is the history of the central bank only 10 years long? after institution, how many “cycles”, booms and busts, how many bubbles have there been?
i suggest that the central bank isn’t interested in stopping bubbles. only monitoring them, possibly engineer them, but mainly, profit from them. you can’t profit from equality, you can’t profit from predictability. it’s a cross between gordon gecko and capt picard: make it happen.
