So – for the folks who used their houses as ATMS to buy really nice “stuff” – they can use their really nice stuff to showcase homes for sale and have a place to live and put their stuff.

Actually, I had considered this as an option but the gains to me are really not that significant. You still pay rent, only get commission if the house sells within 90 days (unlikely in this market), and all for the inconvenience of it all. They could sweeten the pill by offering rent free, and forget the commission.

Perhaps this is yet another thing to worry about when buying or selling a home … evicting the stager!
