You may get used to the noise… but depending on how close you are – if you open you windows in moderate weather – you’ll have more dust… dust of a greasy-stick-to-stuff kind.
That said – I live above freeway 52 – about 10 house away – but we still get the noise. It’s far enough away the noise doesn’t bother us… but you CAN hear it.

December 19, 2009 at 10:36 PM #496303ocrenterParticipantwe lived in a community that was freeway close. we thought by living at the end that was away from the freeway we would not be affected. wrong. the freeway was ever present even 2000 feet away. of course the freeway side of the community was far worse.
I would stay away.
