Another Temecula thread and another gathering of high esteem Temecula residents.
Did you guys know that wikipedia Temecula link now states:
‘Temecula’ is a city that people visit to boost their self esteem.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temecula_California
No kidding!
I have no complain though. I think most of the time, how rich the residents actually are, often do not determine how well the city is maintained. Instead, it is highly correlated with “how rich the residents THINK they are”. I share the pride with my fellow Temecula folks.

January 13, 2009 at 3:31 PM #328119anxvarietyParticipantI used to live on 76 when it was “Mission Ave” or “slaughter alley”. When I was a kid you rarely even needed to look before pulling out onto Mission Ave. Anyone else remember that!
I think we’ll see the same amount of congestion as more people will use that route to connect to the 5 for people connecting to areas near like Del Mar/Solana Beach/Carmel Valley.
What they really need is a connecting train to the Oceanside Coaster station. I guess the 78 train seeks to do that but haven’t seen how much it’s helped traffic as I’m out of state now.

January 13, 2009 at 4:48 PM #328583svelteParticipanton my wish list: a commuter train from Temecula to downtown SD, straight down 15 then 163. Connect it to the Sprinter in Escondido.
Man, if they did that, I really *could* live without my car! I could do everything (shop, work, recreate) using only my bike and rail for transportation.
