If I knew then what I know now…
I would have become a politician. I did not realize when I was getting out of college that you could get so stinking rich being a politician. I would have even sucked it up and been a community organizer for a while.
The Clintons will reach Billionaire status in 5 to 10 years. And as long as the media doesn’t turn on him when he leaves office, Obama will be close behind.
It will be interesting to see if Hillary gets elected, will the media let Bill get away with peddling absurdly high dollar speeches for influence.

“Toastmasters”
All the guys I knew early in my career who got involved with this became CEO’s and CFO’s etc…
Public speaking in general I think becomes very lucrative.

Or a professional athlete. Yes, all you had to do is become president of the most powerful country on earth, or a top quarterback.
Woulda, shoulda (but probably not coulda) …

You may want to check your math.

Paid “speeches for influence” – how does that work?
And why do you keep saying “the media” – is there only one?

I was in Toastmasters for a couple of years. Very good organization that taught me a lot.
Highly recommended.
