Has anyone actually used Redfin to purchase a home? Interested to hear what your experience was

The agent that show you the houses are paid by salary. They are paid no matter if you close the deal with redfin or not.

I am not sure about how they paid their leading agent who does the negotiattion your offer with seller.

Simply stated, very few full service big name brokerages make money on RE transactions. They make their money on ancillary services. SD R and I went round about on this issue a couple years ago and hopefully he ahs a better appreciation for the truth now. Discount RE brokerages have always been, are and always will be a niche business. the economics simply arent there for them to be anything but.
