In an attempt to get something of value out of this thread (outside of a little sport, which has grown old):
Can someone, other than our friend “investor,” explain to me the motivation for the secrecy behind the Fed’s ownership?
It is a bit curious, and seems to be to do much to fan the conspiracy theory flames.
What’s the wisdom behind this structure?

October 12, 2010 at 7:04 PM #616947investorParticipant
Investor: Which “Money Matters” film are you referencing? There’s an excellent chance I’ve seen it already, but I’m curious as to the author.
So we’re clear, I never said or even implied that you’re Griffin (book’s author). I did say, however, that Griffin was a noted crank and this sort of background impinges on his writings. Like it or not, it goes to credibility.
Also, so we’re clear: The Fed is audited annually and the results are published. You make a good point regarding ownership and I’ll cheerfully concede that point. But, and this is important as well, that lack of ownership transparency does not mean that there’s a conspiracy afoot or a cover-up taking place. The Fed absolutely should make the ownership public and offer as much transparency as they can without compromising operations or security.
All of this is said with an eye towards reciprocity. You need to be able to parse opposing responses without taking offense or treating someone disagreeing with you as a mortal enemy. As far as you taking shots at me, have at it. We’re all adults here and I could personally care less. I don’t take it to heart, nor should you.
Allen. Nice to finally meet you. It is the DVD “The money masters” by bill still. Sorry about the wrong title, I just went downstairs and reread the title. I’d love to get your and SV CV’s input on them. (Cordially though).
Now, these Federal Reserve audits that are done, can you give me a web site/ paper that I can get to read what’s in them. It is probably going to be 2,000 pages but I would like to check griffin’s and Paul’s opinion that it hasn’t been fully audited. Thank you for noting that a lack of transparency does not mean a cover up. I agree completely. It is just that when you are dealing with the country’s money supply, transparency is critical.
I don’t take disagreements personally, only personal attacks. (I wonder what UC of degenerate thinks of that wording. I bet it could be written better). If you read the last 3 pages of this thread and don’t think I have been personally attacked, I don’t know what to say.October 12, 2010 at 7:04 PM #617030investorParticipant
Investor: Which “Money Matters” film are you referencing?
