Ok, this post is close to two months overdue but I’ve been busy!
After something like five years of waiting, watching, reading and touring countless properties, I finally got keys in January.
This is my thank you message. First, to my realtor who was nothing short of amazing. If you are first time buyer, you should really consider contacting SD Realtor (aka Adam). I am sure there are other wonderful realtors on this site too, but from working with Adam I can tell you that he is very knowledgable and will give you fantastic guidance in a very patient, no pressure way. (Adam saved me from myself on several properties I was serious about by pointing out a few things I might want to consider short and long term). It’s not always what you want to hear when you find a property you love, but it is what you NEED to hear so you can make the best decision for yourself.
So, I got my lovely bank owned 1920s craftsman in January and have been happily making fixes, adding furniture and appliances. Is it ok if we turn this site into home improvement advice now? I’ve got questions!
This leads me to my next thank you. I LOVE this site. I am just so amazed about the quality of the information that is freely shared here every day. So, thank you all for all of the great input you’ve given me and others the past couple of years. Oh, and I start posting to many home improvement questions, just yell at me. 🙂
Congrats, JC. You did pretty good on the place you got and it’s not so easy in that ZIP w/the flips that were happening.
I am totally relating w/the home improvements. Lots of little things start piling up and then you realize you don’t have a life any more. But I guess it is rewarding somehow, personal satisfaction.
