I do not have solar because I think it might be improved as it becomes more competitive. However, I have friends who have it and they are very satisfied with it.

From what I’ve read, it doesn’t make economic sense to cover your entire electric bill through solar. Since your electric rates go up as you use more electricity … it follows that your rates will go down as you use less. I think it’s most cost-efficient to generate about 1/2 of what you use.
Look for a place with good southern exposure. I am π
