Absolutely, quality is an issue. I don’t know that I’d buy another US manufacturer’s car (the last one we purchased was from a Japanese manufacturer despite wanting to buy American.)
US auto’s break down too much. For something that costs $25 to $75 thousand dollars, you’d think that if you take care of it, it should last 10 to 15 years, no problems.
Haven’t owned European cars, so I can’t comment.
I don’t recall where I heard this, but someone mentioned that they believe that automobiles will begin to drop in price. I could easily see that happening. Car dealers chasing less wealthly consumers.
Watch this video, as they assemble a Corvette ZR1 ($100k limited production car).

My favorite was the line @ 2:15
“i like to run my hand over the seams, if it looks pretty good, its on its way.”
No quality issue with that 🙂

October 12, 2008 at 10:12 AM #286308CAwiremanParticipantFLU,
The Toyota Sequoia would be a great replacement for our current SUV.
I haven’t bought a new vehicle, ever. Even though $30K is a great price, it still gives me sticker shock…
But, when the Chevy gives out, and if we decide to pick up another SUV, the Sequoia is high on out list.
I wonder how long the zero percent interest offer will last? Only until Toyota sells off its 2008 inventory, or will this be a preview to common, coming attractions……
