Seems to me it is many of the recent homebuyers on here who are very sensitive and defensive about this subject, maybe a lot of them have buyer’s remorse?
As I’ve said many times, I don’t care which way the market goes as I am very happy where I am at, so that does not bias my opinions. My statements instead are based on facts and common sense. Regardless of what a certain realtor may “see” regarding the buyers interest not falling, the lagging sales numbers prove otherwise.
You assumed that any buyers who disagree with your blanket statement as having buyer’s remorse and you can’t be any more wrong. You claimed that your statement are based on facts and common sense but you fail to see that they’re nothing more than your own biased views. You know what they say about assume.
AN, there you go again being all defensive. If you are so happy with your purchase, then why do you care what I say?
The reality is that I know many “housing bears” who have purchased in the last year, I don’t criticize their decision because there are many factors. But, 100% of them fully expect prices to drop another 10-20% and are willing to accept that.
Then when people like me mention the obvious reasons why prices will continue to drop, some of you recent home buyers start whining. You knew what you were getting yoruself into so don’t blame the messenger.

July 10, 2011 at 2:31 PM #708786anParticipantI’m not defensive about my purchase at all. If you read my posts in 2008, I stated I was expecting that i’ll probably lose another 20%. What bothers me is your broad generalization statement. If you consider giving an oposing view as whining then I’m guilty as charged. But that also mean everyone on here are whining.
BTW, if you’re right and and we’ll see a 20% hair cut across the board, then i’ll be one happy camper, since I can buy investment properties near home instead of having to look for them out of town.

A lot of people are predicting another 10-20% haricut. What is your prediction and why?
