The wife can never gain the upperhand just with sex. Bottom line, if the wifey ain’t putting out there are many other places to get what I need.

December 23, 2007 at 12:56 PM #123256svelteParticipantI’m not really sure what the results of this thread are going to show you, Marion. All you’ll get is ancedotal replies and the men on this board are not your typical males anyway.
I am way, way different than the ‘typical’ male, but I can tell you that there really isn’t a position of power in our relationship. What normally happens is, when one of us feels strongly about a topic the other one defers to that opinion. It has worked well in the many years we have used it. Luckily, we have very similar opinions on a wide range of topics or this probably wouldn’t work.
Second, we always must be in agreement on significant financial decisions (over $1000 or so) but neither really consults the other about smaller decisions. Wifey has an extensive shoe collection which I rather enjoy myself. π And my tool collection is growing. π
Neither of us could get away with using sex as a weapon because the other would know it was an idle threat. It is such a big part of our life that whomever did the threatening would cave in a matter of days!
And since I’ve went down this road, the dress discussion was really fun. As asianautica noted all guys have different preferences, luckily. Me, I wouldn’t give a second glance to a size 00. My wife is more CMcG ish which means we can’t shop in the petites (chest won’t fit) nor the large women dept (chest fits but they look like tents)!. Thus, we are left with visiting the alteration dept for most purchases. Sigh.
