When do you need the rental?
June 13, 2015 at 8:55 PM #787258mattParticipantJun 27 but flexible until August 26 also flexible
June 14, 2015 at 10:16 AM #787260FlyerInHiGuestWow that’s coming quick. Normally people book way in advance. But you probably don’t have that luxury with medical treatment.
I tried to talk my parents into taking a holiday and renting out the house, haha… But no can do. Old people are not flexible. If it were me, I’d do it.
In Vegas, I’m renting out my condo to a guy for a month for the World Series of Poker. He’s a pretty well-rated professional gambler.

Yes, I remember the vacation rental near the beach you posted about. That might be perfect for the OP. And it will allow you to trying the vacation/short-term rental market as a landlord.

That said, I don’t see an explicit filter for “Furnished”, but you could probably put that under Show More Filters/Keywords.

http://www.oakwood.com and doing a search. If by some chance (hopefully not) the medical care is for a child, you could look at:
Good luck!
June 17, 2015 at 1:52 PM #787319FlyerInHiGuestbibsoconner, did you ever stay at an Oakwook apartment?
It looks like they negotiate with apartment communities to place their short-term tenants.
June 18, 2015 at 10:57 AM #787329gzzParticipantI stayed at the large Oakwood complex in Falls Church, VA for 10 weeks.
It was a nice 12 minute walk to the Metro, had a big pool, and was pretty nice inside, though the furniture was somewhat worn. There was nothing else within walking distance other than a strip mall 20 minutes away with mostly Vietnamese places.
However, I regretted I was out in the ‘burbs when DC itself is much more interesting and fun.
The price was extremely high. I wasn’t paying, but I really wished my company had just given me a stipend rather than set me up with Oakwood.
June 18, 2015 at 1:18 PM #787335FlyerInHiGuestI wonder what is the normal price for a furnished rental that includes utilities. It seems like 3 times rent of a regular unfurnished unit within the same complex.
Did you get full cable w/ HBO?
