Hi, Stradivarius, I’d go with a stainless steel pole-granite might look a bit too gaudy. You could try a marble platform. Since I’m 5’7, I’d just go with carpet under mine, so I can dance around with bare feet.

Unfortunately, I’d have to weigh that in with possible risk of injury (6 inch heels can be dangerous to even the most coordinated of people). Maybe wood is safer since it has more give. Stainless steel for the pole, definitely.
