    My wife is impressed (shocked) with the four FTOs. 🙂 She has 50 jumps with no FTOs, though a few tree landings. I didn’t expect Army people on a San Diego board.

    I myself am a leg and get ridiculed all the time about it from her.

    Two of the FTOs were shoddy pack jobs (my fault) on the new (at the time) steerables the Army was trying out. This is mid-1980s (the T10 era) and the Army was experimenting with LALO, HALO and rotary wing deployments and using new generation steerable chutes.

    Talk about funny, I live right next to Camp Pendleton and coach youth football locally. A lot of my players are Marine kids and nothing gives me greater pleasure than wearing my Army hat to practice. It seems to irritate them to no end.

    Is/was your wife Army?

    My friend is calling HUD counselors tommorow. Hope they can help. Does he need to exaggerate his expenses to get help?

    Even without any exaggeration, he has 0% saving rate right now. If you include his wife school loans, they have negative saving rate.

    Sorry about your friend/co-worker’s situation, but really? Making 70K and financing 400K at 100%LTV. He should be so lucky to be able to walk away and not have to have to file for Bankruptcy too. I’d guess he’s got at Flat Screen TV, Furniture, and other assets that he’ll be fortunate to move into a modest rental. This just makes me sick……Bailout?……Bailout? It reminds me of Jim Mora talking about Playoffs? you know Playoffs?
