I agree with others who stated that it’s not the noise that I would be worried about but the impact on health.
Also, I live about 1/2 mile from the 5 and I definitely have white noise this far away and it is worse at night. I like to pretend it’s the ocean. π

Is the health factor strictly proximity to the freeway? The house we are looking at is high on a hill 2 blocks from the freeway. So yes the noise travels up the hill but does the pollution and health hazards do the same?
I could see the health hazard of living level to the highway or slightly above it but when you are a significantly higher maybe its not as bad?
