Awesome. I thought this was about the spending spree the eagles have gone on.
Philly has some rough areas so its good to see the mayor take a stand like this. DC mayor attempted to do this about 6 years ago. Hope it works out

This has to do with all the ridiculous riots going on.[/quote]
About time somebody mentioned the need for parents to actually PARENT their offspring.
They don’t raise themselves. And if you think that you can ignore them until they are 12 or 13, and THEN start making noise like a parent, good luck with that. They’ve build an entire life completely removed from your influence.
I applaud Mayor Nutter’s courage. And I do mean courage. He didn’t do this from behind a podium at a City Hall press conference. He did this at his church, where some of the members were aware that the message was directed at them. I just hope that the offer of “help” that he promised parents is genuine.

Can’t blame the administration for being a bit wary about taking action. The last time a Philly mayor tried to put the lid on loud, violent, destructive residents, it resulted in the firebombing of an entire West Philly neighborhood that left 11 persons (incl. 4 children) dead and over 60 homes destroyed.
Guess they decided to bring a few more voices to the strategy-planning table this time.
