Let the Chargers go and gently caress themselves, ideally after moving to LA. Why is a mediocre band of overweight men being offered public money?
October 8, 2016 at 11:18 AM #801908ltsdddParticipantChargers should just go. And don’t let the door hit you on the ass on the way out.
October 8, 2016 at 11:50 AM #801911CoronitaParticipantWow. Thanks Phaster, for dedicating a new post for me.
My thoughts on the charger stadium? No….
Leave it alone. Don’t build anything new. Take it or leave it as is.
….Otherwise, I need to find another place to autocross, and there is no better place to autocross in CA than on the west parking lot….

You could fit a large turkey in some of the pot holes around here.
October 8, 2016 at 3:23 PM #801919flyerParticipantNo way +1.

It is part of the whole experience for some of the attendees… Tailgating. How in the heck are they going to support tailgating at their proposed stadium? There is insufficient room for parking.
I was watching the Tennessee vs Texas A&M game. Looking at the people in the stadium, I realized that the Chargers never drew a crowd as large as that — so why do they think they are owed a brand new Stadium at this city’s cost?

seems the crowd here is in agreement about being against a downtown charger stadium
perhaps this might be preaching to the choir, but FWIW here is a comedy sketch about the issue

The San Diego ‘Convadium’: It’s Not a Thing!
San Diegans are about to vote whether to spend $1+ billion of public funds on a new Chargers ‘Convadium’. Bill breaks down what you should know before going to the polls.

I totally did not expect that given that Manchester-era UT was a big booster of giving Spanos whatever he wanted. I guess the paper has really changed its politics. (And yes, I think UT endorsed Hillary also …)
