November 3, 2013 at 9:54 PM #767552CA renterParticipantFunny, I was just thinking about TG yesterday. Wish he would come back, at least once or twice a month just to honor us with a post or tow.
But I’m awfully glad that scaredy has decided joined us again. π
And even though flu likes to stir the pot, I missed him as well. Glad to have you back, flu.
Oh, and brian, too. Hi, brian/FIH!

Hi sister from another mother ;)!! Glad you are still around.
November 5, 2013 at 6:53 PM #767605AecetiaParticipantI was just checking in and thought things should be lightened up a bit with a blast from the Piggs past. Glad to see you are all alive and well. I still appreciate the intellectual stew that is created here.
November 5, 2013 at 9:34 PM #767612scaredyclassicParticipanti wonder what temeculaguy is doing right now.

This sentimental stuff is getting kinda barfy.
I am calling Powayseller in the morning just to have her respond. Then I am calling Marion.
Probably just to hang up though.
Note: I did actually track her down though.
Honestly, I have been surprised at how well I get along in real life with the piggs I have argued with. Even Josh. Which is amazing considering our conversations.

Yes, I miss them as well! Seriously. And who can forget Marion’s leg!!! I’ll bet that’s the real reason you tracked her down. π
I’ve met powayseller a few times in real life and think she’s very intelligent, well-spoken, politically involved (originally met her at a Community Reinvestment Task Force meeting), and friendly…not to mention quite fit and attractive. I think that if sdr and powayseller had met in real life, he would have asked her out on a date. π
And not sure why anyone would have a problem with Josh. He seems pretty laid-back and easygoing to me. Maybe you just need to be nicer online, UR. (I kid, I kid…)
November 5, 2013 at 10:46 PM #767621temeculaguyParticipantAecetia e-mailed me that people were saying nice things about me, she knew I couldn’t resist. My apologies for not being around much, life has its shifts, and so has mine. It’s all been good, but also time consuming. Seems like a world away when I was writing daily on here, so much has changed in my life and my outlook. But to answer paramount’s question, I have never posted on the Temecula Patch, so if someone has my name or writing style, that is an imposter. Truth is, I rarely interact online at all these days. I am getting less than 10% of my previous intake of the main food groups (sports, porn, and economics). Life in general; kids, love interest, job, have all changed somewhat dramatically and for the better. I will try and pop in from time to time and see how everyone is doing and see if I can muster up a clever paragraph.
I will say one thing that directly relates to this site and my choice to purchase my home when I did, it was one of the best decisions I ever made. Nothing bad happened, I’m not far from doubling my investment and my housing costs are fixed and afford me the ability to live a comfortable life. Now as soon as these kids start to graduate college I will have the disposable income necessary for some serious debauchery.
I just reread some of my favorite old posts, this has been a fun trip down memory lane. Now I have to read up on how everyone is doing. Hope this post finds all of you in good health and in good spirits, much love to all my homies.

And please do pop in now and again as your posts are always appreciated.

The one post I still kick myself for not acting on my own instincts, note the stocks and the date of the post, all time lows for the decade, this post is 4 years old, i don;t want to cry so I’m not going to do the math using today’s values

This is fun, I miss my old alter ego. CA renter, glad to see you, say hello to the Mr. Car for me. OMG, did I just re-appear on piggington during election season, my least favorite thing about piggington. If you are a San Diego city voter, let me suggest you vote for Faulkner. Not because of his politics (I’m a hopeless independent and dislike both parties) but because he’s a solid dude. I knew him in college and actually saw him a few weeks ago at the SDSU/Fresno game (refs killed us), and he’s still the same polite and casual guy. We were in the same grade so to speak (of course i had two junior years and 1 1/2 senior years), in different fraternities but ran into each other often, and even though it was 28 years later, it was exactly the same. I was drinking/drunk, and he was not, he was just being nice to everyone and hearing what they had to say while I was yelling at the refs, because that was clearly not a fumble.

Most people aren’t as big a dick in real life as they are on internet blogs. Piggington is tame compared to other blogs..
Clearly, you folks haven’t been on miataturbo.net….
Your first post in the noobie section determines whether you get the privilege to post or get banned for life….
November 6, 2013 at 7:10 PM #767657scaredyclassicParticipantI miss the old days. The present is OK, but I’ve always spent most of my time in the past. I really liked 2002 through 2006, and 1990 to 1994 was really awesome. But the time spent trying to buy a house with TG and everyone on line was kind of fun in retrospect too. Now that i see an actual psychotherapist every week, I have a lot less need to vent here, not that i don’t event, it’s just not as intense a need. A lot of the drama I was creating in my little life over the relatively minor event of buying a house was just energy diverted from or unconsciously covering over other problems I was avoiding…really, a good realtor should be at least 30% therapist.
but man, TG was so funny. The whole site had such a great energy and it was substantially attributable to TG. Now it’s likethe morning after a big party at my kid’s college, it’s just like empty red cups underfoot with cigarettes, and weird people crashed on the floor and someone cooking eggs in your pan.
I’d like to get past this college tuition phase like TG, not so much to live a life of debauchery, whcih I feel is unlikely to work out for me, but just to not have to write large checks anymore. I hate writing large checks. I just want to pay my puny mortgage and the large but not that large organic food bill my wife runs up on her credit card.
that would be so awesome! and to pay my therapist…
