Eye opening trip to WI

Went to WI, and my wife and I couldn’t believe the amount of inventory out there. Driving in the country, non entry level houses with acres of land, down one street for a span of a few miles we counted over 7 that were for sale.

In town, there would be 4 houses for sale on the side of a block, inventory everywhere. There was so much it was laughable, my wife just kept asking how it is possible that WI has so much more for sale where CA doesn’t.

It made you realize how kooky things are over here right now. We are looking at a house today and are probably going to get into another year lease 🙁

We were one of the areas with the riskiest loans, and higher ratios of defaults. It just doesn’t make sense

Seriously though, how many six figure jobs can you find in WI?

There was a report that was put out about CA exodus rate. I don’t have it handy..But the report basically indicated that contrary to popular belief, there isn’t a mass-exodus from CA to other states particularly for higher income people….

Namely because folks in those professions earn/make more being in CA than they could elsewhere, despite paying the highest taxes and highest RE costs.

The study did indicate though that more people leave from the lower income category to other states.

I agree about the job, I can’t imagine finding my job in WI, which is a big reason I don’t go back, but the houses range from 60k and up, I’m thinking about becoming a slum lord in WI
