Escrow company got my name wrong

Isn’t this liken to a legal document – how could a contract of this type not be re-printed correctly…I would insist on my name being listed correctly in EVERY aspect of the contract where my name appears. This person doesn’t sound very professional.

But then….when recently has this industry acted professionally. It is truly scary to think who the so-called pros are that handles these transactions!

I’m certainly no expert on this but having the name entirely wrong and changing it after the fact isn’t an addition or ammendment to instructions. I wouldn’t sign anything. Sounds like they are being lazy!

I agree. It is lack of attention to detail, and certainly is a red flag (check EVERYTHING with these people….).

Listen. This isn’t talking about mis-spelling. This is the wrong person’s name!

They aren’t the only escrow company in town. You could always tell them to take a walk and open up a new escrow.

I would play hardball on this one, but that’s just me.

They aren’t the only escrow company in town. You could always tell them to take a walk and open up a new escrow.
