    -This home is asking for over the 2004 sales price.
    I do not see a large drop for homes in the coastal areas of San Diego. How much longer until the prices reach bottom and what do you think a house like this should go for at the bottom? Curious about predictions….my guess 2013 with a price of 1 million.

    Look a little harder and you will find plenty. There is a thread here somewhere focusing on La Jolla, where big drops are becoming commonplace. I had to go no further than the last high-end closing in LJ to find a $600K/31% loss since ’04.

    I think there is still a long way to go, but there are plenty of examples of large drops that have already occurred.

    I agree. Here is one on the same street as you mentioned. The house isn’t fancy but all in all I think the buyer got a decent deal.

    It sold well under ’04 pricing. Can you find a deal like that now? Probably not. Maybe this fall …

    Not that it matters but I saw that last house in ER several times. It sucked relative to others locationwise, yardwise, upgradewise, backed to busy street etc.

    I wouldnt buy that house at any price for anything other than a rental.
