ParticipantI have no intention of buying right now….I found a great rental in the school district of my choice, we are here until things play themselves out.
What does this do to the comps? Sure it’s cheaper, but it also has a lot of “baggage”.

ParticipantThere is really nothing to it.
1) The owner is in trouble and needs out.
2) The tenant pays the rent to enjoy the house and does not have to show it. I wouldn’t. What’s the big deal?
If I were the tenant, the landlord would have to make it worthwhile for me to cooperate (free rent?). In this case, the landlord has no cash to make such a concession.
I expect this house to go into foreclosure and the property will submarine the whole street. Oh, well.
