ParticipantI was at Costco last night and it seemed fairly busy…Although I think in a down market you would see MORE people going to Costco to save money versus going to the grocer.
Thoughts?

ParticipantI better indicator is to watch what people have in their carts.

Crab legs or cold cuts?

ParticipantI think it is most likely a fluke that it was that empty. IMO… Most people don’t save money at costco, they just get more stuff for their money.
I shop at costco every week, love the meat and produce quality. Much better than any grocery store in town.
I think consumer spending is hanging in there. I can’t explain why.

ParticipantI go about every other Wednesday around two pm (to beat the crowds) and its been noticeably deserted. Only a few registers open with little if any wait.
I love Costco btw, its kinda the 80/20 rule as a shopping experience. Plus they have a great return policy.
