The article had some interesting points in it but was light on explanation on how we go here. Though I do agree it has it’s roots in the dollar becoming reserve currency.
largely because of the Viet Nam War and began to run out of gold, because Bretton Woods, of course, was anchored in gold. And President DeGaulle of France, for example, was demanding to be paid for his exports in gold
So the US started to run out of gold? Hmmm.
Superimpose to today and it’s Sarkozy calling for a new reserve currency. Very Interesting.
