Yea it’s one of those things the gov does not want the general puplic to know about, on top of above average pay they get 6% raise without the SS TAX and a outstanding pension to boot.

Most fed govt. employees do pay SS tax and I wouldn’t really call the pension plan for most of them outstanding. Now SD’s employee pension plan that got the city into a financial mess had some outstanding features.
