Poway, you be right, Dwntwn SD will forever be a kiddy playground of 20 n 30 yr olds with no kids, as well as a coventioneers hub of transient fools with name tags lookin for a beer n burger…still with this dwntn density only one freakin grocery store that gouges folks…its called Ralphs…no delis of quality, no cultural venues, or unique stores, can survive because of the predatory leases. Also the demand from the community is not that intellectual or refined in nature as downtown SAF, or Boston, or Chicago, that type person truly spends money on the items that make mom n pop retail survive. Downtown San Diego is a economy based on silicon, steroids, and Escalades… with the addition of alcohol its like playin grab ass with rubber manikins on the weekends!!..haha…we all know the business/political culture of SD is called “Enron by the Sea”…hey maybe the social milieu of Downtown SD could be called the “Silicon Hummer Riveria”
