Participant
i would accept the home as a gift from warren buffett.
money was an issue growing up.
I tend to be extremely hostile to counselors I have attempted counseling with in the past.
Why not just accept a home from the Fed? So many others are doing it… π

Participanti recall being given a gift certificate to an expensive men’s store while in college and having an anxiety attack at the thought of spending the gift certificate. This was prior to ebay when such items could be readily liquidated so one could stock rice and beans.
i’m pretty sure i wouldn’t get angry at my wife post-purchase. I’m pretty good at resigning myself to my fate once the die is cast.
it’s just, dang, I’ll be paying a million bucks with interest into my 70s for this place. as long as the govt promises not to let the deflationary spiral of my nightmares take this thing down to nothingness, where it all should be, really, I won’t cry inside…

Look on the bright side… At the rate the dollar keeps falling, your net asset value might end up more if stock up on a million rolls of toilet paper than holding on to those greenbacks. By the time you’re 70, $1million will probably means today’s $500k..
