Is there a way to search for houses based on price per sq. ft. of lot? For a non realtor such as myself. I know any spread sheet based system could do it, not sure if all realtor sites give lot size though.

The combination filters for price & square feet on redfin should do the job.

I don’t think I know what you mean because I don’t see lot size combined with price as a filter option. I am looking to see what is the cheapest lot with a house on it that I can develop.

It takes a bit of work, but you should be able to get that with refin.

1. go to redfin.com
2. enter the zip code you’re interested in and hit return
3. on the result page, at the top, you’ll see the filter button

Hit the filter button and you’ll see a bunch of filter options. among them are price, square feet for the house, and the lot size. You should be able to manipulate those parameters to get close to what you want.
