“do you all think these are more tangible than “paper” etf metals or do you think they carry the same level of risk”
here’s what I am telling family and friends:
take whatever it is that you consider to be your wealth and hold it in your hands
if you are holding paper then at least 70% of its value is going to disappear over the next decade
stocks, bonds, real estate equity, annuities, etc
~
last time I checked the only way to have non-paper precious metals investments was to have non-paper precious metals investments …

For a guy who has been arguing pretty strongly for a significant precious metals drop in 2010, your announcement comes as a bit of a surprise to me, Eugene. May I ask what have you been contemplating? What has changed your forecast? Inquiring minds want to know. [/quote]It’s mostly the fact that my religious principles instruct me to be non-confrontational and non-dualistic. Also, I’m willing to admit that there’s more to the universe than catches my eye. There are no specific arguments affecting my forecast.

remember our lesson earlier where we learned what a “downtrend” was?
it’s still continuing – that’s the US dollar poking through its support at the 0.765 level – next support at 0.74
~“drop my forecast regarding gold & silver prices”
might that have something to do with gold being at $1020 and silver at $17.30 this morning?
don’t give up, Eugene, trying to knock some sense into your thick skull has been fun
