Okay, you threw down the gauntlet with that photo.
When you posted the sunset, the ridgeline looked very familiar, but I decided not to spend time tracking it down. But this photo looked so familiar I decided I had to chase it down.
And I was right. It is familiar for a reason. My wife and I looked at several homes on that street – one several times – two years ago before deciding to purchase elsewhere. Our decision at the time was based on the owners on that street being unwilling to accept the reality of falling prices. Had they done so, we might be your neighbors right now. Checking recent prices, it appears that reality has set in and you are the beneficiary.
We do know people on that street so we visit the area still and know it very well. Since you’ve been there a bit now, I’m sure you know the area is great…quiet, easy access to major roads, shopping, restaurants, you name it. Quite the life.
And virtually anything that you plant will grow as it is in that perfect temperate zone between the coast and the inland valleys….Zone 21 according to the Sunset Garden Book…you can count on one hand the days you’ll see frost on your windshield in a year, and (if you’re careful) count on your fingers and toes the days you’ll absolutely have to run the A/C.
Congrats, Oxford. It’s a fabulous neighborhood in a fabulous town. I bet you’ll enjoy that place for many, many moons. And if I see a car pull in your driveway when I’m visiting, I’ll introduce myself…

You are welcome to come by any time. 769 Turtle Point Way, San Marcos. I work from home so I am often there. I did snag great home at an amazing price with the help of sdrealtor. There is a thread about it. I love it here as it is all that you say. Once i get rid of the scorched earth backyard I will be even happier but that is the way foreclosures come these days.ox
