ParticipantIt will take some massive changes in the Mexican government before most people who used to go will begin to go again because of the drug wars. I have some die hard fishermen friends who still go, but they fly in, so it is probably different than driving down there.

ParticipantI used to go into TJ every few months until around 2005 or so. I haven’t been back since. The interior of the country is pretty nice, I’ve been to Jalisco since then. I’ve also been to Quintana Roo/Yucatan as well as DF and Morelos and felt safe there.
If Americans would quit using drugs Mexico would be a lot safer.

If Americans would quit using drugs Mexico would be a lot safer.
