Me, defensive? Nah, it all fun and game for me. I just find it funny when people get snobby and look down on others based on their prejudices.
Again, you are hogging the thread and boring Pigg readers by your incessant defensive badgering. If you already “know all the answers,” then why are you asking??
You may infer whatever you like about me. I have lived in and and also owned rental units for past 32 years in dtn. SD, City Heights, SE San Diego, PH, Bonita and CV. None of these areas are upper MC except for Bonita. I did not inherit any of it.
Did I say 1994 is the bottom and 2004 is the top?
Yes, reread your posts again.
You seemed to glazed over the tract home in Solana beach I brought up.
I was unable to open the link you provided.
[quote-AN]Are you trying to say once you get fired, you active income is done and gone?
Yes, if one is over the age of 55, and sometimes 50 and loses a long-time position with benefits through layoff, firing, RIF or “golden handshake,” then the chances of them having to contract their services or consult for a living after that are very great in this economy. I don’t know how old you are, but age discrimination is rampant, particularly in small business. I myself “retired” over a decade ago and have a pension but still work, albeit not full time unless I have a big project. In that case, I put in many hours “overtime.”
Why don’t you tell us more about you other missed opportunity. It’s much more interesting than my lower MC home.
Again, OT and you did not answer my question. Did you make a profit??
AN, may I suggest to you that if you have any more questions as to how the world works, you ask another Pigg whom you feel is more qualified than me to answer them.

Having 50K in 1994 would not have been enough to take advantage of this opportunity.
Oh really? You needed to have $275k in cash to buy it? 20% down wasn’t enough? Hmm… lets see what you could have done with $275k in 1994. Put $275k in QCOM in June 1994 and sold it in December 1999, you would have sold it for $24.7M. Now, that is an opportunity lost that I’d be supper pissed about.May 20, 2010 at 2:08 PM #552429anParticipant
Yet, you’re replying to every post I made. Pot, meet kettle :-). You asked a question, I answered it, then you went on a charade as to why South Bay is so much better than PQ. Although it started with a thread about PQ. So, why did you bring up South Bay again?

Did I say 1994 is the bottom and 2004 is the top?
Yes, reread your posts again.
Let me help you out here since your reading comprehension is a little lacking.
BTW, you compared near bottom of the last cycle to the near top of this cycle.
near bottom and near top is not bottom and top.
Again, OT and you did not answer my question. Did you make a profit??
If you’re that nosy and really want to know, then NO, I didn’t sell and I won’t sell. So I can’t tell you if I will make a profit or not. I’ll let me kids/grand kids tell you when they do.

I never asked you about how the world works, but you seem to love to lecture to people how you think the world work, although you know nothing about them. Again, just to remind you, this all started with you asking what’s the “draw” about PQ.May 20, 2010 at 2:17 PM #552439anParticipant
Again, you are hogging the thread and boring Pigg readers by your incessant defensive badgering.
