Americans came to see a savior who would deliver the nation out of its troubles.
This was never the case. It was his detractors that labeled him the “messiah,” not his supporters.
Like many elections, most of those who voted for Obama were voting against the other candidate (specifically the old confused guy and his barbie sidekick.)
Funny how the article compares Obama to Kennedy: It fails to mention Kennedy’s first year in office was a flop (remember the Bay of Pigs?) Kennedy was also the first President to have a peacetime budget deficit and supported expansion of government involvement in healthcare (does any of this sound familiar?)
But Kennedy was one of our greatest Presidents and, after one year in office, we can declare Obama a failure, right?
